Here you can learn a bit about each team member.
I'm seventeen years old and a senior at Lakeville North High School. This is my fourth year in FIRST. I take all of my classes at the University of Minnesota for dual college-high school credit. I'm planning on double majoring in French and Chemical Engineering. My involvement in FIRST is never ever going to end.
I am 18 years old and a senior at Lakeville North High School. I have done FLL for six years and this will be my fourth year in FTC. One of my biggest hobbies is collecting and solving Rubik's cubes. I also like to read and I am in the process of teaching myself guitar and korean. On the team, I am a driver and also a programmer but this year I hope I will be able to do a bit more building than in past years. My dream job is to become a Biomedical Engineer and I will probably be going to the University of Minnesota for school next year.
My name is Adrienne Hester, I am 17, and a senior at Lakeville North High School. This is my first year on the team. I'm interested in neurology, physics, and art. This year I want to learn how to CAD.
I'm a junior at Burnsville High School and am 16 years old. I also participate on FRC team 3184 Blaze Robotics based out of Burnsville. I enjoy gymnastics, rock climbing, and model airplanes. I want to learn the tetrix build system.
I am a senior in Lakeville North High School and am 18 years old. I love to read, play videos, doing puzzles and learning. This will be my third year in FTC and 2nd on the team. I am hoping that this year I will be able to improve my social skills (Outreach) and be able to learn how to program.
I'm a Junior at Lakeville North, and I am 17 years old. I love to swim, play video games, watch anime, read, do puzzles, doodle, sketch, and use my computer for robotic/non-robotic reasons like any other teenager. During the FTC season I help with the scouting during the tournaments as well as give advice to the drive team as "coach", and during our meetings I try to learn how to manage our website as well as learn how the robot goes together. Other than that, I pretty much live with my FTC group, mainly because it happens at my house. Also, I have been apart of FLL for six years and this will be my fourth year in FTC.
Our First Alumni - Colton Mehlhoff
I am 19 years old and a Freshman at the University of Minnesota. All my life I have played with Legos. My mom said I am the only one of her four children who knew exactly what they wanted to be when they grew up; an engineer.
Our Coach, Scott McDowell- (by Colton)
Scott is the team's Head Coach. He started the team nine years ago and has devoted an unbelievable amount of time and energy towards helping the team get the resources we need. We are very thankful to have such a caring coach. I have always said that we call him Scott instead of Mr. McDowell, because in his mind he is still a kid like us playing with a unique form of art.
We love you Scott!
